Hotel Breakers

The Hotel Breakers (formerly Breakers Inn) was a vision that started in 1980 and was finally built in 1995. Overlooking the mouth of the Gualala River and the Blue Pacific, The Hotel Breakers offers a variety of tastefully decorated themed rooms. Each room will offer a breathtaking view of the beautiful scenery offered here on the Mendocino Coast. Coastal birds such as Pelicans and bald eagle bathe in the beauty of the crystal clear water and, river otters basking in the sun is a sure site to see. Gualala pronounced ‘Walala’ translates from the Kashaya Pomo Indian phrase “ah kha wa la lee” which means literally “Where the river meets the sea”. Gualala thrives in the arts and there are many shows and festivities that take place every year such as whale watching, hiking, kayaking, beach combing and just plain relaxing is what brings people back every year to The Hotel Breakers.
